Class, Recreation and 2 Things

Good evening everyone,

Well, today is Saturday and other than one class I have really done a lot of nothing, which is really nice. Let’s get the class update out of the way shall we:

Thermodynamics- I got the test results back. Even with the exceptions that were given, it still was not enough to get me what I wanted. The over all score however was not bad compared to the rest of the class.

Movies- last night From Russia with Love and I watched Murder Party. In case you were wondering, it is a low budget indie film that I found at GrayWhale for only a couple of bucks. The movie itself was not bad actually, it had won some ‘audience favorite’ awards at various film festivals, including Sundance. All in all, it was just a low budget slasher movie. The dialogue and characters were interesting though. The box for the movie said: ‘Napoleon Dynamite’ meets The ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’, but that I strongly disagree with. It had a very ‘Reservoir Dogs’ feel to it being in a warehouse and all, and it was actually pretty funny at moments. It did lack a bit of energy from the cast though, the ensemble felt a little bored, and it showed. But I still give it a thumbs up for a worthy effort, and not completely sucking.

What would all of you say to another Q&A I got in the email? I know, I don’t want to turn this blog into a piece of crap either, but they are fun from time to time. Here we are, 2 Things:

Two Names You Go By:
1. Professor T.
2. Arrogant Prick.

Two Things You Are Wearing Right Now:
1. Blue jeans
2. Head set… I am at work you know.

Two things you want out of a relationship:
1. Some one to pick me up when I am down.
2. Some one to pick up when they are down.

Two of Your Favorite Things to do:
1. Take pictures
2. Study (it has to be right?)

Two Things You Want Very Badly At The Moment:
1. My headache to go away
2. Lunch

Two Things you did Last Night:
1. Watched Murder Party
2. Ate Chocolate chip cookies

Two things you ate today:
1. Coffee…
2. (But there’s only one…?)

Two people you last talked to:
1. Bubbles
2. My old manager, Dee.

Two Things you're doing tomorrow:
1. Studying
2. Taking pictures (hopefully)

Two longest car rides:
1. Salt Lake City to San Francisco
2. Salt Lake City to Los Angeles/ Anaheim

Favorite Beverages:
1. Coffee.
2. Coke-a-Cola

Two Movies I would watch over and over:
1. Fight Club
2. Apocalypse Now

Two of my Favorite Foods:
1. Chinese
2. Greasy Hamburgers (that one came to mind, because it’s on the dinner menu tonight)

Two places I'd rather be right now:
1. Home with From Russia with Love
2. Out and about.

That will do it for me today every one. I may post more this weekend, but be weary on that. I have said it before….

Shorts and VD

Good evening everyone,

Well, not much has happened since I last posted. Wednesday I spent the morning in classes, and then I heard about a terrible snow storm coming, so I went to work to study until my night class. The roads were ok getting to the class, and it was a small one. The Professor showed up, but only about 1/3 of the class made it due to the snow. After class I went to my buddy Dr.MookieLove’s place with Bubbles and watched Ren & Stimpy and Memento. Both shows are classic. From Russia with Love was planning on attending; however homework required her to remain at home. Let’s take a look at school now:

Thermodynamics- There is no news on the test as of yet. I am still hoping for Friday, but he said that they are still in the grading process.

Quantum Mechanics and Relativity- Still awesome. There’s not really much else to say.

Theoretical Electromagnetism- Still a pain. There’s really not much else to say.

Happy St. Valentines Day everyone! In case you weren’t aware, the official holiday is: National Singles Awareness Day, affectionately called Valentines Day because the other name is too long, and because it has much more zing than the acronym NSAD. That just sounds like some terrible disease, or some kind of evil government agency. Those have their own holidays. True, you do not hear much about Evil Government Agency Day, quietly celebrated in the South and mental hospitals. And the underdog holiday, National Terrible Disease Day, has a parade that you can ‘catch’ (so to speak) late at night on channels that no one watches, just because of the Leprosy Dancers, who unwittingly give souvenirs to the modest crowd of onlookers, who are too cheap to pay for an actual Freak Show. And what is the point of this rambling you may ask? Well, don’t ask too hard, because I don’t even know. Good night all. Happy VD! (you didn’t catch that from me I swear)

Updates and a Q&A

Hey every one!

Well, today has been the usual rush from place to place and getting things done. School is going well, as is work. You can tell they are going well by how busy they are. It’s kinda simple: the magnitude of the Busy Factor is proportional to the Wellitude of the task in question. The empirical conclustion to that statement is ‘I may vary well loose my mind soon’.

Let’s just do the checklist:

Quantum Mechanics and Relativity- Very cool, and I like the professor. This is shaping out to be a great course.

Thermodynamics- Get a load of this! The test that was open note/book that was ridiculously hard- remember that one? Well the professor was going to go over some solutions to the problems, and he could not do it! He couldn’t take his own test! What kind of a crock is that?!?!?

Theoretical Electromagnetism- Wow. This is a biggie and a hardie. Just when I thought ‘hey, this can’t possibly get any more complicated can it?’ my suspicions were proved wrong. This is definitely the new Optics. Moreover, it’s the new Bane of my Existence.

Other things- They have been pretty much non existent. So, in lieu of not having any other signs of ‘life’, I decided to take another questionnaire I found on another blog:

10 years ago I was: An awkward kid with too many pimples and scared if high school

5 things on my 'to do' list today:
1. Go to class (10:30- 11:30)
2. Go to work (1:00- 9:30)
3. Go home and do homework (9:30ish- ???)
4. Try and do something recreational
5. Realize I am too tired for recreation, go to bed.

5 Things I would do if I became a billionaire:
1. Buy a house
2. Buy a car
3. Get friends and family out of debt
4. Travel to cool places, take pictures
5. Have a Vineyard (don’t ask me why, it just sounds romantic.)

3 Of my bad habits:
1. I cuss too much.
2. Cut my fingernails/eat in bed
3. I can be neglectful.

5 Places I've lived:
1. My parent’s house
2. Neverland
3. In my own thoughts (until I am evicted by reality)
4. In the thoughts of others (cartoons, books etc.)
5. In From Russia with Love’s eyes

5 Jobs I've had:
1. Cutting the tops of my fingers off repeatedly (I mean a service Deli)
2. A store that sells products labeled “Not Sold in Stores”.
3. A brief stint at Jungle Jim’s Playland (it’s a long story)
4. Jungle Tony’s Playland (I mean Camera Den)
5. Prints Plus Poster Store

2 Things most people don't know about me:
1. I’m a sucker for good poetry
2. I like to flip through AM stations and listen to odd programs late at night on my way home.

Readings and Mumblings

Hey everyone,

Let’s begin the Sabbath with another reading from the Book of St. Anthony:

"Behold-eth the wonders of Computers, and the dis-pleasantries in the posterior that which art produced by the Computers, for they art a Rose with a Thorn.

And yea my heart is filled with apathy for the striking writers, and their plight, for I doth not watch-eth television.

And blessed be Coffee and Coke-a-Cola, the nectar of the Gods, that keep-eth me awake during my scribing of the Blog.

Yeah be there much pity for Presidential Candidates, as they strive to champion a kingdom on a chariot of false words.

Amen."

Well, there is not much to post today. All work and no play make Professor T a dull boy.

Checklist (what there is of it):

Work- Work has been going smoothly. It is getting rather slow, and not in the good way. Most of my co-workers have found other positions and are in the midst of their transitions already. The last day of taking the calls for the closing departments is April 17th, and it almost seems to be happening before that. I imagine as the departments start to loose employees, they will get busier. Time will tell on that Monday when the first of the training classes start for the new positions for the other employees.

Other Things- I went to a party at From Russia with Love’s place of work at about midnight last night. Fun was had by all. And I being the shutter bug that I am spent most of the time taking pictures. I think that I will try and post some of the better ones on the photo page soon (subject to time availability).

I have not been out to see any movies, or been out at all really. The only real recreation other than the party I have had in the last few days is cartoons. My buddy Dr. MookieLove got me the first three seasons of Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law which is absolutely hilarious, as well as some Aqua Teen Hunger Force episodes, also hilarious. A cautionary note on the cartoons: they are not for those who do not like ‘gross out’ humor, in case any of you where interested in checking them out.

That will do it for me today folks, please be sure to read down, as I have been posting all weekend! Or you may want to save some of it for later, because I may not have time to post much this week.

Finally!!!

Hey everyone!

So I do not have much to post today, however I do bring good news! The Photo Page is now up and fully operational!

Just click the link on the right and it will take you there, for your viewing pleasure.

However, they are not “new” photos, they are ones that I have on the computer already. So, Mom, and From Russia with Love, they are ones that you have already seen. But now you can look at them without being in my room! I understand that can be a little crazy sometimes.

Also for today’s post I thought I would take a free association quiz I found on my buddy Dr. MookieLoves blog, because I need a checklist of some sort right?

Ok, here we go:

1. Beer: 7-11
2. Anorexic: Paris Hilton
3. Relationships: with who?
4. Purple: Rome
5. Power Rangers: Ruined a generation of children.

10. Tupperware: lids that never fit right
11. Best Vacation: palm trees and old places
12. Santa Claus: red
13. Halloween: trick or treat
14. Bon Jovi: butt rock
15. Grammar: English books from high school
16. Facebook: ouch!?
17. Worst Fear: becoming nothing…..
18. Marriage: meh….
19. Paris Hilton: (see #2)
21. Redhead: freckles

Slim Friday Post

Evening everyone,

Yesterday was a bit of a study-a-thon to say the least. About 8 hours of it or so, all for a test today that I think I did decent on.

Hey let’s do the checklist:

Thermodynamics- This is the class that the mid-term was in. I spent all day yesterday and last night studying for this monster. And as it turns out, the entire test was open note/book. That sounded awewsome until I got the test, and to my dismay it was hard enough that the notes/books were somewhat useless. Go figure.

Everything else is going well now that it’s the weekend. Yes I still have small amounts of homework, but I plan on doing a lot of slacking. Going through school and work, I have lots of nothing piling up, and I need to get on top of that soon.

Also, due to the recent developments as mentioned above, I have not done the photo page. I will try for this weekend, but no promises.

Today’s is a short one, I know. Hopefully this will be the end of your reading on Monday, because I hope to be posting this weekend. So to leave you all on a cool note, here is the new teaser poster for the next James Bond movie:

Awesome.

Fat Tuesday Post

Good afternoon every one,

Today is rather slow, I just had one class and now work. So we can only put a couple of items on the check list. Here’s what I got:

Quantum Mechanics and Relativity- This is getting cooler by the day. We are knee deep in Relativity and getting deeper. It’s really interesting, especially when the professor’s introductory remarks on the subject are: “If you just forget your idea of the normal passage of time, this will be much easier.” How awesome is that? I am loving this class to say the least.

Theoretical Electromagnetism- Ok, I was not the expert that I hoped I would be, but I had come close. In fact, I would say about 80% of what I wanted, which is not bad. He also did not cover all the necessary material last time, which means that homework for the time being has been postponed. That will give me time (this is the normal passage of time mind you) to fill the remaining 20%, assuming of course by brain is not “full”.

Work- Is slow. That’s about all I have to say about that. People are getting new positions, transferring around, and kind of just disappearing as other opportunities present themselves. I will be here as long as I can, at least through college, but hoping for more on the horizon (obviously, if I went through all this school and just stayed here, I would be pissed).

Other things are going well, I printed some of my pictures last night (to From Russia with Love’s dismay/boredom) from my trip in December and hope to put those up tonight on the Photography page (the link on the left, appropriately labeled). I haven’t watched any movies lately, or read any interesting books, just text books and the usual cartoons. I know, my life can be very uninteresting at times. So what can be interesting? How about the news:

Hippies strike (or not?) again….

Get a load of this: I found an article on Yahoo News saying that voters are going to decide today on whether to transform Alcatraz (a.k.a. one of the coolest places in the Bay Area, a close second behind my Aunt L.’s pad) into a “Global Peace Center”. That’s not the worst of it. The plans are to make a Medicine Wheel (ride?), a Labyrinth (wouldn’t take much work) and a conference room for non-violent conflict resolution. In doing so, ruining one of my favorites! I know, I am one to embrace the counter culture at times, but this is ridiculous. All of this was from Da Vid, the president of the How Can We Ruin Every Thing For Everyone Else? Organization, a.k.a. HCWRETFEE?O. This is actually on the ballot folks! And all I have to say is: Peace Conference Room huh? Let’s take it outside then.

Hell in a hand basket every one. There is not Hell on a Bus joke here, because the antagonists here (irony?) are probably incapable of driving, and that’s not a pot joke. I think they are just too retarded. Oh, sorry ‘Da Vid’, I mean ‘Re Tardeed’ (thanks to Dr. MookieLove for that one). I will post some Alcatraz pictures that I took from my last trip for posterity, because it may start to suck very soon, under the control of people who literally can’t spell their own name.

Today is Fat Tuesday, the procrastinating holiday of vice. Enjoy yourselves everyone, for tomorrow is Lent. Lent is the religious tradition of asking yourself “Where the beads worth it?” If the answer is yes, then you have done well. If the answer is no, you need cooler friends.
